MONOPOLY Live: the wheel and the board in one round

For the first thirty seconds MONOPOLY Live looks like an ordinary wheel with lucky numbers on it. Then the picture switches, a little man in a top hat walks into the studio and the game carries on in a place that does not actually exist. It is that second half that makes this Evolution title something other than a standard live show.

Two games, one broadcast

Most game shows have a single setting. Here there are two, and they swap over in the middle of a round.

The first is the classic one: a studio, a host, a large wheel and players betting before the spin. The second is put together by a computer — augmented reality lays a three-dimensional board over the studio picture, and Mr. Monopoly moves around it. The camera physically cannot see it, yet the host works with it as if it stood on the table in front of him.

The consequence is practical. Anyone who tries the game for a few rounds and never reaches the bonus has seen barely half of what sets MONOPOLY Live apart from the other wheels on offer.

What happens at the wheel

The wheel has two kinds of field, and each takes the game somewhere different.

The number segments pay out directly — anyone with a bet on the number that lands is paid according to its value, and that closes the round. The 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS segments pay nothing in themselves; they are the ticket into the bonus part on the board. The difference is exactly what their names say: two rolls of the dice in the first case, four in the second.

The Chance field stands apart; we give it a section of its own below.

And now the part new players find hardest to swallow: only those who backed that segment before the spin go into the bonus. If 4 ROLLS comes up and your bet is on the numbers alone, you watch as a spectator. There is no buying in afterwards.

A walk around the board with Mr. Monopoly

The bonus opens with the broadcast switching to the board and the little man on the start field. From there the dice decide.

He moves from square to square and the values he stops on are credited to your bet. You are not playing against the others — every player carries their own stake and watches the same walk with a different sum behind it. Houses and hotels go up and lift the value of the relevant squares; tax squares do the opposite.

Two squares change things more sharply. The one that sends the little man to jail ends the bonus and pays out whatever has been collected so far. Passing go doubles the values on the board, so a long walk carries different weight from a short one.

That is why 4 ROLLS is prized for more than the two extra rolls: more rolls mean a better chance the little man stays on the board longer and gets all the way round.

Chance: the card that either closes the round or extends it

When the wheel stops on the Chance field, the host turns over a card, and it comes in two forms.

The first is a cash prize — it pays out immediately and the round is over. The second is a multiplier: the values on the wheel are raised and it spins again, with the bets left where they are. The new spin counts at the raised values.

Several cards can be chained this way until cash comes up or a segment closes the round. It is the only moment in the game when your bet carries on without you doing anything.

The card is drawn at random, not according to how much you staked.

The game card: the provider's own data

Game Studio RTP Format Mechanics Source Verification date
MONOPOLY Live Evolution 96.23% game show with an AR bonus wheel with number segments, 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS fields and a Chance field; augmented-reality bonus with Mr. Monopoly walking the board and multipliers Evolution 2026-09-17

The data in the row comes from the Evolution studio and holds as at the verification date shown. Individual tables at individual casinos do not differ in mechanics — there is one central broadcast.

Where 96.23% comes from and what it covers

The figure of 96.23% is the highest published value for this game. It is not a rate you would get on every bet on the table.

MONOPOLY Live has several separate bets, each with its own maths. A bet on a number segment is settled straight away and its return is simple to calculate. Bets on 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS, by contrast, are settled only by how the walk around the board turns out — and that can end after the first roll or after a long lap. The spread is incomparably wider.

We do not quote figures for the individual fields here. What is published is the value for the game as a whole; filling in the rest would mean passing an estimate off as fact.

One more note, true of the shows and the quieter tables alike: RTP is a long-term average across an enormous number of rounds. Your evening session fits into it no better than one toss fits the statistics of coin tossing.

Round length is measured differently here

An ordinary spin without a bonus is over quickly. A round with a bonus takes substantially longer, because the walk around the board is an animation in its own right and the host talks through it roll by roll.

That has two consequences. You get through fewer rounds in an hour than at roulette, which tends to help the budget. At the same time, the dead space between bonuses tempts you into spreading bets over more fields at once — and five small bets in one round are still five bets, all deducted.

On a phone the bonus reads better in landscape; in portrait the software shrinks the board and the values on the squares get harder to follow. We go through the technical side of the broadcast in our section on mobile play.

The game is for players aged eighteen and over, and a session time limit is more useful with a show like this than at a table where a round takes half a minute.

When it makes sense to switch MONOPOLY Live on

The game makes sense when you enjoy the walk around the board for its own sake, as slower, narrated entertainment. Anyone after short rounds and decisions that change something will be happier with the table games.

If the wheel format appeals but the AR part is too much for you, Dream Catcher offers the same without the extra storey. In the other direction lies Crazy Time with its four bonus games. The running order of the titles in this category is in our game show overview, and we write about the studio itself on the Evolution page.

In the Dukat.bet live section, MONOPOLY Live falls under the Live Casino Bonus 500% up to 3,000 EUR + 15% Cashback.

Frequently asked questions

What is the RTP of MONOPOLY Live?
Evolution gives 96.23% as the highest published value for the game. The individual bets have their own maths, so the real return depends on whether you back the numbers or the bonus fields.
What is the difference between the 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS segments?
The number of dice rolls in the bonus: two with 2 ROLLS, four with 4 ROLLS, so the little man has a better chance of getting further around the board.
Do I get into the bonus if I have not bet on it?
No. The walk around the board is played only by those who had a bet on the relevant segment before the spin. Everyone else sees it, but they are not playing.
What does the Chance field do?
The host turns over a card. It either pays a cash prize and ends the round, or adds a multiplier — the values on the wheel then go up and it spins again.
Why is the bonus in augmented reality rather than in the studio?
The board is computer graphics laid over the studio picture. That lets the host talk through the walk live, even though there is physically nothing in front of him.
Does jail end the bonus altogether?
Yes, the walk ends at that moment and whatever was collected during it is paid out. Any remaining rolls are forfeited.
Can MONOPOLY Live be played on a phone?
Yes, the broadcast runs in a browser and in the casino's mobile app. We recommend watching the bonus board in landscape; in portrait the values on the squares shrink.
